Burns Recruiting was founded and is led by Scott Burns. Scott’s background and experience places him in the perfect position to recruit lawyers and legal professionals for his clients. A former partner handling national counsel work at an AmLaw 100 firm, Scott then accepted a position at the largest lawyer-owned lawyers’ professional liability insurance company, Attorneys’ Liability Assurance Society (ALAS). 

During his fifteen years at ALAS, Scott was promoted to Senior Vice President and his primary responsibilities included new business development, client relations and retention, and merger and lateral hiring services for over 220 law firms and 70,000 lawyers. During his career, Scott assisted firms with over one hundred merger and large lateral acquisitions, including global deals involving firms from the United Kingdom to Australia, and throughout the United States. Scott also attended Harvard Business School’s Executive Education course for professional service companies.
